At least 85% of Malawi population depends on agriculture to survive and mostly practice seasonal farming for food and income purposes. However, lack of knowledge and skills on regenerative farming methods by many citizens has resulted into food insecurity in the country which accelerates extreme poverty and hunger regardless of its available water sources. The recent system of regenerative farming introduced for the seasonal and irrigation practices to increase food supplements and farm produces/yields per year complementing towards eradicating poverty and hunger. My goal in life is to become successful entrepreneur and play big role in eradicating poverty through education promotion, business management technologies and sustainable development.
In 2009 I founded Thuchila Youth Empowerment Programme and Development Network and is fully registered nonprofit community organization, network provider for Malawian youth clubs and other development groups under the Laws of Malawi and since 2009 has done commendable work as far as empowering youth and promoting welfare of women and children, supporting vulnerable groups and community empowerment are concerned. The organization has massive experiences in implementing programs regarding support towards orphans and vulnerable groups, providing vocational training and sustaining the environment and impact of climate change.
In 10 years I would like to see my community being socially and economically empowered. No community child especially orphan and vulnerable fails education because of poverty and hunger. Youth and women in descent life, works and businesses and free from all forms of discrimination, violence, exploitation, inequalities, forced marriages, alcohol and substances abuse, abuse of power and war.
REQUEST FOR PARTNERS AND WELL-WISHERS TO JOIN US ENHANCING QUALITY EDUCATION FOR GIRLS
We are looking for partners who wish to work with us in investing in girl’s education. We are working at Thuchila Community Day Secondary School whereby target population is highly vulnerable, degree of vulnerability within the greater community, poor infrastructure and no changing rooms for girls during menstruation, lack of information, education and communication IEC materials for girls accelerate high number of teenage pregnancies, early marriages and number of maternal and infants mortality rates.
Our purpose is to work together as girls and boys, promote gender equality in education, promote both girls and boy’s equal enrollment and success at school, promote constructive values amongst our peers and share information within our schools and communities to empower young people to prevent and deal with social problems that affect them.
Our vision is of a society that raises responsible citizens for the future and is free from all forms of discrimination, violence, exploitation, abuse and fear.
We are working with girls at Thuchila Community Day Secondary School with a mission to engage in peer education, initiate debates in the schools, conduct campaigns, engage in public speaking during school competition and community events and be models of our peers. We embrace values of equality of human rights and dignity in education and in all areas of life, mutual respect between girls and boys, and we believe in kindness, empathy and peaceful conflict resolution.
From well-wishers we successfully managed to sponsor 5 girls at the school for the period of 4 years whereas only 1 girl still schooling and we met with several challenges which hinders us from supporting the girl. We also provided to over 25 girls with school facilities including sanitary pads and knickers to help them not to miss classes because of menstruation period. We managed to rescue a girl from early marriage and able to send back to school. In addition, we also provided gifts in reward to successful candidates as promotion of girl child education. Organized meetings with teachers, school committee and relevant authorities to create teachers-pupils conducive universal learning environment and good participation in developmental projects.
In additional to the service above we are planning to establish, strengthen and increase our services to in and out going school girls in Peer Education, life skills, Sexual and Reproductive Health, capacity building and leadership, production of regular newsletters with 85% girl’s activity involvement and ensure that they are in line with their decision making and Life SMART Goals. Plan is well formed/defined, likely to meet objective, includes contingency plans/high probability of success (more info in our Log-Frame). We are welcome with any development/activity/recommendation/campaign links/help from well-wishers or any would be donor or partners to the support rendered to promote the welfare of young women and adolescent girls.

Hello well-wishers
We are looking for support to cover for transport, crops seeds as well as some resources for organic farming lessons. Thuchila Youth Empowerment Programme and Development Network works with 18 community clubs in permaculture practices whereby organic farming already established at Group Village Head level. Therefore, from this month November while rain started, we planned to have monitoring visits in all community clubs in order to supply other farm inputs and share some organic farming lessons to improve their practices thus enabling them to have enough yields. However, we are experiencing some challenges on the way like short of funds for transport cost, seed crops and also learning lessons including notepads, flip charts and pens. Follow us to learn more how we are supporting communities to become solution creators and able to have enough food for their families:

Keeping our children at school is one of the solutions creations to the outstanding problems in eradicating extreme poverty in regenerating Africa. However, if you travel in many schools especially in rural areas in Africa including Malawi, you may agree with me that there is need to sustain quality education to improve the health and wellbeing of billions of children for conducive learning environment.
Our foundation among other efforts is to ensure that no child including orphan fails education because of poverty and hunger and my mission is to raise awareness and playing big role ensuring that needs are heard and referenced. Yesterday, 02nd August 2021 I was in Chiladzulu District where our foundation is implementing Sustainable Farming and Early Childhood Development projects whereby I was very excited to see progress of our child care established in collaboration with the leader of Ladders to Heaven Ministries 3 months ago. But, I was very sad to hear that there is lack and or short of food, learning equipments as well as poor sanitation (unconditional toilets) regardless that the site is situated at a very attracted and beautiful area alongside marvelous and historical Malavi Mountain and it is long standing problem solution to the inhabitants.DM me for more, email us thuchilayouth@gmail.com. Immediate needs:
3 iron sheets to renovate toilets immediately.
Food donation for breakfast
Learning and recreational materials
Can you please help us to deal with these problems and ensure that children are accessing quality education? We have land suitable for blocks as well as about 2000 bricks; project represents unique solution to long problem with track record of high impact. Community points of view well referenced in request, community body submitted the request and done other developmental parts as project leads are community representatives and plan for self-sustaining is well established. Today’s Update
Hello partners and friends
I would like to update you what have been happened today for some of our projects
While we are tirelessly working Regenerative Farming Program to support communities and families on food security by providing seed crops for home and communal gardens, it very sad to hear of outbreak of “pest-like-red spiders” which are destroying grown crops. Watch this short clip https://youtu.be/Hh9Qzx3Xgxs to see how their moving on the crop leaves changes the colors of the crops. Therefore, the call to agricultural expertise is in order for help on how to control these destroyers. However, we are looking for support of some resources we cannot manage on our own but are essential for regenerative farming practices see herein https://thuchilayouth.wordpress.com/2021/07/10/spreadsheet-for-regenerative-farming/
If you want to join or support our organization to reach out and touch vulnerable groups, don’t hesitate to contact us on thuchilayouth@gmail.com and remember to follow us on twitter https://t.co/ms5e7eua6W?amp=1
